KODE OS is constantly shipping new features and updates to improve the overall user experience. We have put together this round-up of some notable enhancements to walk you through the new mobile app design and features.
Side Menu
The left sidebar menu on KODE OS Mobile App is an access point for different workspace features. While in the previous version, you had one main menu to scroll through different modules/features and then specified the building, the new version allows you to navigate through all features on a per-building basis.
Once you have selected the building, by clicking the menu icon at the top left of the screen, you can find all features and modules there without going back and forth to each feature to select the building. This use-case applies to users who have access to multiple buildings.
Modules and Feature Placement
For easy reference and better visibility, modules such as Areas, Devices, Points, Data Sources, and Systems and other features have been moved to the main side menu.
The main side menu now contains Site Details, Fundamentals (Areas, Devices, etc.), and Utilities per building.
Bottom Navigation Bar
There is a list of modules at the bottom of the screen to help you quickly browse your workspace. You can access all the modules you see there on a portfolio basis.
You can customize the bottom navigation bar to your liking in Settings by clicking the More icon.
Overall UI Design
The new Mobile App release will include a completely new UI design. The new user experience should be self-explanatory, but things will look a bit different. Once you access the new version of the app we will guide you throughout the experience by showing step-by-step instructions to help you navigate through the changes.
Dark Mode
We are enhancing the KODE OS experience on Mobile by introducing Dark Mode. Dark Mode is designed to offer a sleek new look whether you work on low-light conditions, require high-contrast tools or simply prefer a darker color theme.
Did we mention that it’s stunning? Give it a road test, and let us know what you think! Your app appearance will default to “auto” mode, which follows your system settings, or you can specify a preference in the More menu on the bottom navigation bar of the app.
