To access the Virtual Devices page:
Navigate to Devices.
Click Device Batch Update.
Select Virtual Devices from the left side menu.
Initially, devices might not appear as PseudoDevices until assigned specifically.
To mark devices as PseudoDevices:
Navigate to Device Batch Update, select the intended folders.
Open the properties panel; choose "True" under "Is Pseudo Device".
Previously, Pseudo Devices were identified using the pseudoDevice tag and appeared in the main Devices list, even though their purpose was strictly for point sourcing.
With this update, we are replacing the tag with a dedicated device type for Pseudo Devices. As part of this transition:
The ability to add the pseudoDevice tag will be removed.
Pseudo Devices will no longer appear in the main Devices list.
They will not be available for use in FDD, BI, or other applications—only for point extraction during Virtual Device creation.

The Create New Device popup includes a feature to streamline bulk device creation by generating multiple devices using a name prefix and a numeric range.
In the Add multiple section, enter a base name (e.g., Meeting_Room).
Set the From and To fields to define the numeric range (e.g., 1 to 15).
Click Add to generate device names automatically:
Meeting_Room 1
Meeting_Room 2
…
Meeting_Room 15
Each device can then be customized by assigning a Location, Type, and Area.
To speed up the process, you can apply Type and Area in bulk by selecting the dropdowns in the column headers.
If you prefer to add devices one at a time, use the + Add single button in the top-right corner. This adds an individual row where you can manually fill in all the details.
Once you are ready, click Create to add all listed devices in one go.
Select points from a Pseudo Device
Drag them to the Create New Virtual Device section
Fill in the required details in the popup and click Save
Click on a Pseudo Device
Show all its points
Use the Organize Points By option:
By Subfolders: Groups based on folder hierarchy (e.g., VAV1, VAV2)
By Point Name: Groups based on point naming patterns (e.g., Lighting_Zone1, Lighting_Zone2)
Select the resulting groups
Drag and drop them to the Create New Device section
One Virtual Device is created per group
Group name = Device name (editable in the popup)
Filter Virtual Devices by Pseudo Device: After selecting a Pseudo Device, use the filter chip “Created from
{pseudoDeviceName}” to view all Virtual Devices created from it.
Locate Source Device: From a Virtual Device, click Locate Device to highlight its originating
Pseudo Device on the left.
