Shareable Links - Widgets

Users who have access to KODE OS can create a shareable link of the widgets directly from the site homepage dashboards and then share that link with any external users.

Creating a shareable link makes it simple to share a widget and its data in an email, document, instant message or website.

To create a Shareable link:

  1. Go to KODE OS

  2. Select the site of your choice

  3. From the main Site Dashboard go to the Widget you want to create the shareable link for

  4. Click on the 3 dots at the top right of the Widget

  5. From the drop down menu select Share to create the link and choose the Widget Refresh Rate

    1. You can choose to share the data within the widget as they are for the time being and not refresh them in the shareable widget link by keeping disabled the Auto-refresh switching button

    2. Choose to Auto-refresh the shareable widget link with its live data by turning on the Auto-refresh switching button

    3. Choose the Widget Refresh Rate to refresh the shareable widget link after a specific period of time

  6. Put in a Description on the description field (optional)

  7. Copy the link from the Share Link field by clicking on the Copy Linkicon to share with external users and open on the browser.

  8. Copy the link from the Embed Code field by clicking on the Copy Link icon to share with external users and use the widget on different documents and websites.

  9. Click on Done

  1. You can get back to the list of the created links by clicking on the Shared Linksicon at the top right of the Widget.

    1. The link is automatically enabled, which allows you to share the link immediately by clicking on the Copy Linkicon.

    2. You can delete the link at any time to revoke access to the widget by clicking on the Delete Linkicon

      1. Any internal users with no access to that widget or any external users you have shared the link with will no longer be able to view the widget.
