Remove Point Writability

You can remove the point writability if there is a point that came through as writable, or something changed and the point that used to be writable is not anymore.


Follow the steps below to help you to remove writability on points that do not need to be writable:


Individual Point level


  • Navigate to a Device of your choice.

  • From device details, navigate to the information   icon in the right side bar.

  • From the window that opens up, click on thebutton.



  • This will take you to a list of all points within that device and their details.

  • Click on any of the points that you wish to remove writability for.

  • This will open up a window on the right side of the page, giving you the option to check-off the Writable option, and remove the Writable tag. 


  • Check off the box, remove the Writable tag and click on Save, this will make the point non-writable.


Point Batch Update


  • Navigate to Points from the Site Dashboard.

  • Click on the three dots button on the top right of the page and click on Point Batch Update.

  • Select the points you wish to make non-writable.

  • From the left hand bar navigate to the “Writable” option to check off the box and remove the Writable tag, click on Save and the points that you have selected will no longer be writable.
