Optimized Start Stop (OSS)

Optimized Start Stop (OSS)

OSS is a new module that’s been added to KODE OS.

The functionality of OSS is two-fold. First it provides an insight into the gap between occupancy start and stop and its correlation with the functioning of the corresponding HVAC system, specifically the AHUs which are required to fulfill a certain temperature setpoint at the time of the occupancy start.

Second, it analyzes the information in order to bridge that gap in order to increase device efficiency and lower energy consumption. Typically AHUs start working earlier and thus reach the scheduled setpoint earlier than required by the occupancy schedule.
