Manage Temporary Access with Time-Limited Accounts

Manage Temporary Access with Time-Limited Accounts

Mar 5, 2024

As an administrator, you have the ability now to create and manage temporary access accounts for your organization which will automatically expire at the designated period. Temporary platform access can be extended to consultants, control companies, potential clients, and others.

Why this Improvement?

This ability allows you to collaborate externally with people from other organizations without sacrificing security. Invite external parties for temporary access with an easy-to-use date-time picker for setting expiration, and KODE will take it from there. You’ll be able to View and manage all accounts with ease, especially temporary ones, highlighted along with their expiration dates. Temporary access will automatically be revoked when time expires, and you can extend access if needed. In addition, you and the account users  get notifications about account expiration and invitation details, including access duration.

Time-Limited Accounts Perks:

  • Automated Security Measures: Since KODE automatically will revoke access when the permissions are set to expire, it prevents the risk of unauthorized access.

  •  Improved Operational Efficiency: Cut down the time and resources spent on manually managing account access, allowing you to focus on other priorities.

  • Enhanced Access Awareness: With the improved notification system, both temporary users and admins are kept informed about account statuses, reducing the likelihood of access issues.

What’s new?

What’s changed is how you invite external entities. Navigate to the User Management list under the Identity Management section. Use the Add User option to add a new user. Choose the Access Level to be Temporary and select the expiration time.

Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our platform continually. Should you have any questions or need further assistance with the new Time-Limited Account Access feature, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.
