How to access and operate your command window



In this article we will cover how to:


  • Access and operate the command window in order to adjust the set point and schedule of a point. 

  • Benefit from the ease of commanding a point from a compact and simple to use single pane window

Accessing the command window can be done through 4 main windows.

  • Device Details

    • Clicking on the ‘Device’ card you will find a complete list of devices and the option to search or filter through.

    • Clicking on a device will bring up the device details page.

    • On the device details page you will find the device points organized and in a separate drop-down menu.

    • Hovering your cursor over a writable point will reveal a blue pencil icon from the left. 

    • Clicking on the pencil icon will open up the command window for the writable variable.

 

  • Floor Plans

    • Clicking on the ‘areas’ card you will find a list of floors, each representing a different floor plan. 

    • Once you have the floor plan opened, devices are populated on the floor plan overview. 

    • Each device will have a marker split between a blue name section as well as a white point value section.

    • Clicking the white point value section will open a pop up command window.


  • Systems

    • When navigating to the ‘system’ card on the dashboard you will find a list of systems within the site. 

    • When you click on one of the systems you will have an overview of devices populated on a graphic view. 

    • Each device will have a marker split between a blue name section as well as a white point value section.

    • Clicking the white point value section will open a pop up command window.

  • Device Summary Widgets

    • Within a device summary widget, you will find a list of points that have been selected for the widget.

    • Hovering your cursor over a writable point will reveal a blue pencil icon from the left. 

    • Clicking on the pencil icon will open up a command window.


Command Window Navigation

There are two types of command windows

  • Command Window that opens up from Device Details and Summary. 

  • Command Window that opens up from Areas and Systems.

  1. Command control window is split in three sections

Command Window that opens up from Areas and Systems.

  • Points

    • In this section of the command window you will find all of the related points of the selected point you have clicked on.

  • Variables

    • In this section you will find all of the writable points that are related to the selected point you have clicked on.

  • Action

    • In the action tab you have the ability to Control the points and edit the variables.

    • Within the action tab there are 4 main options to adjust:

      • Within the Priority dropdown you can choose a range of 4 levels

        • Override, with a priority level of 10. Used to override a point.

        • Set, with a priority level of 17. Used to update setpoints.

        • Auto used to release overrides to natural state.

        • Release, used to release a point from a Set command. 

      • Value which is the editable value you would like to write to the point. 

      • Duration  which is grayed out unless commanding an Override priority to the point.

      • Reason drop down menu with a list of preset reasons as well as a box to write down any notes on such reasons. 


Command Window that opens up from Device Details and Summary. 

  • Variables

    • In this section you will find the writable point that you have clicked on.

  • Action

    • In the action tab you have the ability to Control the point by editing the variable.

    • Within the action tab there are 4 main options to adjust:
