Graphics Tool Updates August

We’ve been working on a few updates to improve your experience with graphics. With enhanced point visibility, you can now
easily spot critical statuses and states like ‘Down’, ‘Alarm’, and ‘Overridden’, ensuring quicker response times and better control.
Our canvas tools have also received a boost, offering new element alignment options and customizable arrows for more precise
and stylish designs. Plus, the ability to quickly duplicate markers or tables streamlines your workflow like never before.

What’s New

  1. Enhanced point statuses & states: We've enhanced the visibility of point statuses and states by introducing various markers and display options. Now, points with statuses such as ‘Down’, ‘Disabled’, ‘Fault’, and ‘Unknown’, or states like ‘Alarm’, ‘FDD’, ‘Overridden’, and ‘Stale’, can be highlighted using default markers, smart markers, icons, values, or a combination of icon and value. Additionally, tooltips and table views will provide clearer distinctions.

  2. Cut drawings, left panel enhancement, and highlight setpoint values: This allows users to easily cut and manipulate drawings when creating new system graphics. The left panel displays the values of each point shown, and the setpoint values are highlighted.

  3. Element alignment: When selecting two or more elements on the canvas, users can now align the selected elements vertically or horizontally through a new configuration option available upon selection.

  4. Arrow enhancements: Arrows on the canvas can now be rotated and styled differently, offering more flexibility in design and representation.

  5. Duplicate markers/tables and device change:  Users can now duplicate markers or tables and select multiple devices of the same type via a popup. This allows them to quickly create new tables or markers with the same style and order, but populated with data points from the chosen devices.

Why You’ll Love it

  1. Improved client experience: The enhanced points ensure that critical statuses are easily identified, allowing for clients to respond to issues faster. This will help operators and engineers maintain better oversight and control over system performance and reliability.

  2. Better system visualization: Edit drawings easier, view point values directly in the panel, and quickly identify setpoint values, leading to better system visualization and management.

  3. Ease of use: The ability to align elements and customize arrows will streamline the design process, making it more intuitive and efficient.

  4. Build graphics faster: With being able to duplicate tables or markers from scratch, it simplifies data management, reduces errors, and streamlines workflows, allowing users to focus on analysis rather than setup.
