FDD / FTT Import and Export Routines

FDD / FTT Import and Export Routines

The Import/Export feature addresses the need for users to efficiently manage custom routines and workflows across
different client environments.

As a user you can create custom rules to expand coverage and offer unique value to your business. You can maintain
a master environment for creating custom rules and workflows, exporting them to other environments as needed.
This eliminates the need for rebuilding rules from scratch at each client and enables seamless reuse of custom
routines across different environments.

How Does Importing and Exporting Routines Work?

  • From the main left navigation bar, choose either the FDD or FTT module depending on your needs.

  • Click on the three dots icon at the top right of the page.

  • From the dropdown list, choose “Routines” for FDD or “Workflows” for FTT.

Exporting Routines

  • Once in the Routines or Workflows page, find the “Export” button at the top right of the page.

  • Select the routines you want to export.

  • Click on the “Export” button at the bottom right of the page.

  • Assign a name to the file you want to export.

  • Click on the “Export” button, and the routine will be downloaded to your computer.

  • In the “Replace” column, decide whether to keep both routines (in case of identical routines), replace the old routine, or keep the old routine.

  • Click on the “Import” button to complete the import process.

Data & Privacy

  • Routines/Workflows are considered intellectual property of the creating party. I.e. if a Channel Partner creates a routine/workflow it’s considered their intellectual property.

  • Neither KODE Labs or partners can claim exclusive rights over general concepts, i.e. no entity has unique IP over temperature greater than setpoint.

  • Export and import permissions are managed at the role level, with permissions granted to super admins only.

  • Backend logs track who created, exported, and imported users routines for auditing purposes.
