Adding a new Data Source in KODE OS


The following steps will guide you on how to add a data source and import the necessary data. 

  • 1. Click on the site of your choice.

  • 2. Navigate through the options on the left side and select "Data Sources".



3. A comprehensive list of all existing data sources will be presented, accompanied by a search bar to facilitate easy navigation.

4. To add a new data source, click on the "Add Data Source" button located next to the search bar. This action initiates the process of incorporating your desired data source into KODE OS.


5. You will be presented with a catalog featuring all available data sources. Choose the one that suits your needs.

6. Upon selection, the "Add Data Source" window will open, with the API Catalogs.


7. After choosing the API, you can fill in the necessary fields based on the chosen option. This may include details such as (Name, Area, Room, URL, Username, Password, and other relevant information).

8. After entering all the required credentials, you can test the connection by clicking on the "Test Connection" button at the bottom of the window. This action will provide a message indicating the status of the connection, allowing you to ensure that the setup is successful.

View Events of the Data Source

To view synchronized events between a specific API and KODE, follow the steps outlined below to access Data Source Details:


  • Choose a site of your liking

  • Navigate to the “Data Source” section

  • Click on the specific Data Source of your choice

These steps will lead you to the Data Source Details, where you can access and review events synchronized 

  • between the chosen API and KODE. 

Error Logs

To view Error Logs, you need to navigate to the desired Data Source.

Click on the small arrow icon next to the Data Source name to expand and view the list of error logs.


The error logs provide detailed insights into potential issues with the Data Source. Common error statuses include: DATASOURCE_DOWN: The Data Source itself is unresponsive or offline.
