Add a New IAM Method

KODE OS allows you to add a number of Identity and Access Management (IAM) sign-in methods. To add these methods follow the below steps:


  1. Click on the “Company” icon in the left hand navigation bar in Launchpad.

  2. This will open up your company’s details on the “My Company” tab of this page. Navigate to the next “Sign-In Methods” tab.

  3. The tab you are on shows all the current IAM methods which have already been set-up, showing the name and protocol.

  4. To add one of the available methods click on the “Add Sign in Method” button on the top right of this page.

  5. The “Add new sign in method” window will open up, allowing you to choose one of the available IAM methods, or add a custom one.


Only Admin users are able to add these methods into their organization’s Launchpad.

Adding a custom IAM Method 

  1. The Authentication Callback Url is pasted into the Single Sign On provider platform with which we want to connect KODE OS.

  2. "OpenID Well-known URL" with the Client ID and Client Secret are generated when KODE OS is added as one of the Apps in the Single Sign On provider platform. Please refer to SSO Provider Documentation to obtain these fields.

  3. To set a Sign in Method by default click on the ‘Set as default Sign In Method’ checkbox.


When you add new users to your environment they will be assigned to the default method, however you can always change that by clicking the Change Method button while creating a user.

  1. Once you fill in all the required fields, click on Save.
