KODE Labs is improving the accessibility of KODE OS so that people with visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive disabilities can use the platform more effectively.
Accessibility support is built directly into KODE OS. There is no separate accessibility mode to enable.
Accessibility improvements are being introduced across KODE OS in phases.
The following products have completed the accessibility migration and are compatible with our current accessibility standards:
Building BI
Graphics
FDD
Launchpad
Building Data Hub
The following products are still undergoing accessibility updates and are not yet fully compatible:
Cloud BMS
Functional Testing Tool (FTT)
EnerG
AssetOps
These products remain available and functional, but some screens or interactions may not yet provide complete support for screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, color contrast, and other accessibility features.
We will update this article as additional products complete the accessibility migration.
KODE OS supports navigation without a mouse across updated areas of the platform. Common keyboard controls include:
Tab: Move to the next interactive element
Shift + Tab: Move to the previous interactive element
Enter or Space: Select a button, link, or other control
Arrow keys: Navigate within supported menus, tabs, and option lists
Escape: Close an open menu, dialog, or panel
A visible focus indicator shows which element is currently selected.
Updated KODE OS components are designed to work with screen readers by providing meaningful labels, page structure, control states, and status announcements.
For the best experience:
Start your screen reader before opening KODE OS.
Use your screen reader’s standard commands to navigate by headings, links, buttons, forms, and tables.
Use KODE OS with a current version of a supported browser.
Screen-reader behavior may vary based on the browser, operating system, and assistive technology being used.
Accessibility improvements include:
Stronger color contrast for text and interface controls
Clearer keyboard-focus indicators
More consistent component styling and behavior
Information that does not rely solely on color
Improved readability across updated areas of KODE OS
Users may also use their browser’s built-in zoom controls to enlarge the interface.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact KODE Labs Support and include:
The KODE OS application and page
What you were trying to do
What occurred
Your browser and operating system
The assistive technology you were using, if applicable
A screenshot or screen recording, when possible
This information will help our team investigate and address the issue.
